    EBC announces completion of a new embedded DSP network audio module with MuLaw audio encoding. The miniature circuit includes a digital signal processor, two channel audio codec, and a 10Mb network interface. The unit may be used as a stand alone device or may be embedded into simulated radios and intercom units. In conjunction with the DSP hardware developments, EBC is about to release version 1.0 of our "Whitecap" network audio manager software application. The "Whitecap" application allows users to configure and control simulated radio and intercom devices, as well as interface with other devices operating on a DIS network.

    PEO STRI announces CCTT DIS radio model software is now available to all government users at no charge. The latest version of this software is designed to interface with EBC ASIP radios and FFCS intercoms, and runs on a LINUX PC platform. EBC is currently developing software tools and documentation to assist users in their integration efforts. EBC can provide hardware, software, complete systems, and integration support.
